THE STORY SO FAR
Well, you've heard what's been happening: Covenant, the best thing to happen to music since Mozart's Requiem in D Minor, were going to play shows in Pretoria and Cape Town in December, then they weren't. The excuse is that lack of presales indicated a lack of interest and the powers that be decided to call the whole thing off.
What isn't mentioned in all this "official" propaganda is that the shows weren't very well marketed in the first place. A couple of posters and a flyer hiding away somewhere on a website don't really get the message out, unfortunately. So, we could say that better promotion could have helped these poor presale figures.
WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT
Okay, so here's the skinny:
I want to see Covenant perform in this backward little country of ours.
I am willing to make sure they do this.
All I need from you, the EBM-listening masses, is this - fill in the questionnaire below. Hit send. Unless you have some skill or stack of cash that you think can aid the cause, in which case I suggest contacting me directly. I may even reply. Anyway, I'll compile all the questionnaire answers and, if the response is good enough, you may indeed find yourself in a dank, smoky club, staring at Sweden's best export since modular furniture, gyrating theatrically to the opening strains of "Dead Stars" alongside hordes of your fellow darkly-attired zombies, within the next few months. I know I'm keen, Eskil and Joakim are keen (note my cunning name drop), their manager's keen, and anyway, who the fuck needs somebody else messing things up for the rest of us when we're perfectly capable of doing it for ourselves?
So, get typing.
